Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has declared that bandits and terrorists should not be given a second chance, maintaining that they have no right to live.

Governor Sani, who said terrorists must be eliminated, stressed that terrorists’ actions have deprived innocent people of their lives.

Speaking during an exclusive interview on Channels Television on Wednesday, Governor Sani stated that bandits and terrorists do not deserve an opportunity for rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

Governor Sani said the killing of innocent residents and the abduction of women and children were some of the reasons security agencies must take decisive action against the groups.

According to the governor, “I don’t believe they deserve a second chance because, in my own opinion, they are terrorists. Bandits are terrorists,” Sani said.

He added that anyone who deliberately takes lives and destroys communities cannot be regarded as deserving of leniency.

“When you call them terrorists, it means they are people who have killed innocent citizens. Certainly, they have no right to live; they must be eliminated.” Sani said.

The governor maintained that the government must prioritise the protection of law-abiding citizens, insisting that those involved in terror attacks should face the full force of security operations, “A terrorist is a terrorist. He can kill, he can destroy and, as such, should be killed,” Sani said.
