Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has congratulated Barrister Alhassan Mu’azu on his election as the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gombe State Branch.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya also extended his felicitations to other newly elected executive members, commending the NBA for conducting a rancour-free election, which he described as a demonstration of maturity, professionalism and commitment to democratic values.
The Governor praised the legal community for upholding the integrity of the Bar, expressing confidence that the new leadership would further strengthen the legal profession in the state.

“I heartily congratulate Barrister Alhassan Mu’azu and other members of the new NBA executive on their well-deserved victory. Their emergence through a transparent and peaceful process is commendable and reflects the strength of democratic practice within the Bar,” the Governor said.

He noted that Barrister Mu’azu brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served in key legal and advisory capacities in the Gombe State Ministry of Justice and various state institutions.

“As someone who has shown steadfast commitment to legal development and public service, I am confident that the new Chairman will bring purposeful leadership to the NBA in Gombe,” Governor Inuwa added.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to the rule of law and justice sector reforms, the Governor assured the NBA of continued collaboration in promoting access to justice, protecting human rights and ensuring an effective legal system.
