Zamfara State governor, Dr Dauda Lawal, has commended Jeje Riders Nigeria, a super bikers club, for donating a water project to Dadin Kowa Saminaka community in Gusau local government area of the state recently.

The governor’s commendation was contained in a press statement yesterday by the media officer of Jeje Riders Nigeria, Muktar Makarfi.
The statement said the Zamfara State governor, Dr Dauda Lawal, represented by the director of press, Zamfara State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Bashir Kabir Ahmad, hailed the bikers’ humanitarian gesture towards the state.

The governor while commissioning the water project said it will bring succour to the people of Dadin Kowa Saminaka and address the water shortage faced by the people.
He said the government welcomes complementary projects in meeting the needs of the people of the state.
Governor Lawal further said that unlike the stories of Zamfara State in the past, the state has a new look today and the narratives have changed from insecurity to relative peace.
“It is also evident that development can be seen in every community in the state including the state capital Gusau. The government of Zamfara State has been providing the necessary infrastructures in rural communities and only recently agricultural inputs were distributed to rural farmers to boost their farming.

“The government of Zamfara State calls on all indigenes of Zamfara all over the world to join hands with the government in bringing development to the state.
“The citing of the water project in Saminaka community is a welcome development and the government is pleased to be one of the beneficiaries of the humanitarian gesture of Jeje Riders.
“The government of Zamfara State is open to partnership with Jeje Riders to bring more development to the people of the state.
“Jeje Riders has endeared itself to the people of Zamfara State by this initiative. We understand this is not your first humanitarian project, we were told of similar gestures in Gombe, Kaduna and other places.

“This project has shown that you people don’t just ride super bikes for fun but also observe the needs of the society and where you can come for the people,” Governor Lawal said.
In a brief remark, leader of the Jeje Riders team to Zamfara and member of the Board of Trustees, Dr Alheri Senchi, said the aim of citing the project in the community is to provide clean and healthy water that everyone can benefit from.
He said similar borehole projects have been completed by Jeje Riders in other communities, and more are yet to come.
