A Labour Party governorship aspirant in Adamawa State, Yohanna Kwaha, has said he is inspired by the leadership style of Abia State governor, Alex Otti.
Kwaha stated this yesterday when he visited Otti, an LP governor, to inform him of his intention at his Nvosi country home, Isiala Ngwa South local government area.
He said he had closely monitored developments in the state since the emergence of Otti three years ago and expressed admiration for “the governor’s outstanding leadership style.”
The aspirant commended Otti for his “visible, verifiable and impactful achievements in health, power, education and industry” adding that no sector has been left untouched.
According to him, the remarkable progress recorded in the state under Otti’s administration serves as a model of good governance and effective leadership.
Kwaha, who was accompanied by Adamawa State LP chairman, Theman Jonah and other stakeholders, added that he has much to learn from the governor on governance.
In his response, Otti explained that the LP manifesto is centered on the welfare of the people, including those in public service, private employment, and the self-employed.
He advised him to intensify grassroots party mobilization by encouraging supporters across Adamawa State to register with the party and obtain their membership cards.
Otti said the recent amendments to Nigeria’s Electoral Act make party membership a condition for participation in party congresses and other electoral processes.
”We encourage you to continue to work hard towards the realization of your vision. At the moment, registration is going on. And in no distant future, the congresses will come.
And, then a convention that will happen here towards the end of the month. So, it becomes very critical that you not only register, but get all your supporters to register,” he added.
