In a significant stride towards fostering excellence and equal access to quality education, the Ezennia Rosemary Azuka (ERA) Foundation has set to commence it’s 2023 scholarship programs for highly deserving students from secondary schools across Nigeria.

The Managing Director/Secretary, Mrs Atakulu Chidilim, disclosed this in a statement saying that these scholarships have been specifically designed to provide financial support and educational opportunities to exceptional students who demonstrate outstanding academic excellence.

According to her, the Ezennia Rosemary Azuka (ERA) Foundation Scholarship programs are open to students from the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, emphasizing that the organisation’s commitment to promoting equal opportunities in education nationwide. By offering these scholarships, ERA Foundation aims to empower talented students, enabling them to pursue their educational aspirations and achieve their full potential.

She said, “To be eligible for the ERA Foundation Scholarship programs, students must be enrolled in either junior secondary schools (JSS1) or senior secondary schools (SS1) by September 2023. They must also exhibit exceptional academic achievements and potential. The foundation welcomes applications from students across Nigeria who meet these criteria and are eager to excel in their educational pursuits.

“To initiate the application process, interested students, parents, or guardians are encouraged to visit https://eraf.org.ng/scholarship and download the scholarship application form from the Ezennia Rosemary Azuka (ERA) Foundation’s official website.

“Once the form is completed, it should be submitted along with the student’s Primary Six third term result for those students transitioning to JSS1. For junior JSS3 students transitioning to SS1, it should be submitted along with the JSS3 third-term result to [email protected].

“As part of the application process, applicants are required to create a One-Minute Video Post on social media. In this video, candidates should introduce themselves, their school, and their class.

She said that the selection process for the ERA Foundation Scholarships is rigorous and comprehensive, adding that applications will be evaluated based on academic performance and potential, socio-economic background, financial need, as well as a demonstrated passion for learning and commitment to personal growth. A dedicated selection committee will carefully review all applications and conduct interviews with shortlisted candidates. Final decisions will be based on the committee’s assessment and recommendations.

She further noted that the selected recipients of the ERA Foundation Scholarship will benefit from a comprehensive package of support. This package may include full coverage of tuition fees from junior secondary schools (JSS1) and senior secondary schools (SS1), extending to the university level until graduation.

The foundation takes pride in recognizing and celebrating the achievements of its scholarship recipients, providing them with a platform to inspire others and make a lasting impact on their communities,” she said.
