Northern Nigerian Youths Leaders Forum, Gombe State chapter, has urged a member of the House of Representatives from the state, Ali Isa, to withdraw a court case against a social media critic, Thomas Umar.

Umar allegedly criticised the lawmaker online recently, prompting him to file legal action.

The forum’s spokesman, Mu’azu Hina, yesterday called for dialogue and amicable resolution between them rather than resorting to litigation.

According to him, youth like Thomas, are active participants in elections and contribute immensely during electioneering, adding that litigations against them would discourage them.

He said dialogue could help promote a culture of tolerance and respect for differing opinions.
