Erling Haaland’s extraordinary form continued as he netted twice in the second half to guide Manchester City to a commanding 2-0 victory against Everton at the Etihad Stadium.
The prolific Norwegian striker has now increased his remarkable tally to an astonishing 23 goals in just 13 appearances for club and country this season, making a significant impact in a closely contested Premier League match.
Haaland broke the deadlock with a powerful header in the 58th minute, before quickly adding a second with a left-footed strike just five minutes later.
Prior to his goals, City found Everton’s defence resolute, with England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford—who signed a new contract earlier in the week—showcasing his impressive form.
Despite missing the dynamism of on-loan City player Jack Grealish, Everton posed a threat on occasion, managing several counter-attacks.
Though Haaland appeared relatively quiet for much of the match, his clinical finishing either side of the hour mark underscored the constant danger he poses to opposing defences.
The 25-year-old has now scored in 11 consecutive matches for either Manchester City or Norway and, with 96 Premier League goals to his name, is swiftly approaching the century mark after just 105 appearances in the league.
Overall, since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, Haaland has found the net 138 times in 155 games for Manchester City, further establishing his reputation as one of the world’s top forwards.
