A Nigerian company, Baobab Nigeria, has concluded a nationwide fitness walk in its 38 branches.
The initiative encourages healthier lifestyles among staff members and customers while amplifying awareness of the Jollof+ savings product and Baobab Nigeria’s broader services.

In a press statement issued to journalists yesterday, the organisers said it drew participation from Baobab employees and members of the public in multiple cities.

It said the walk blended physical wellness with financial empowerment, reinforcing Baobab’s message that sustainable living encompasses both healthy habits and disciplined saving.

The firm said the participants described the exercise as energising and engaging, noting the opportunity to connect with communities and introduce more Nigerians to Jollof+, Baobab Nigeria’s lifestyle-focused savings product.

Regarding the purpose of the initiative, Eric Ntumba, CEO of Baobab Nigeria, highlighted the organisation’s commitment to holistic well-being.

He said, “Our fitness walk is part of our mission to promote a stable financial life and health for not just our employees alone but also the communities we reside in. At Baobab Nigeria, we believe that taking care of both physical and financial health leads to a fuller, more balanced life. We are excited to do this because it sets us on the right path to achieving our goals both as individuals and as an organisation.”

The walk featured lively music, group exercises, dance sessions, and shared meals, elements designed to mirror everyday Nigerian lifestyle realities while spotlighting the benefits of consistent saving.

The organisers noted that the atmosphere aligned closely with the Jollof+ brand goal: making financial planning feel relatable, positive, and achievable.

The Chief Business Officer of Baobab Nigeria, Oladapo Ikupolati, emphasised the link between wellness and financial resilience.

“We believe that a healthy body is the foundation for financial discipline and stability. With Jollof+, we’re providing a tool that enhances financial stability and helps individuals build a secure future. Our fitness walk event brings that goal to life, showing our dedication to every part of our customers’ journey to success,” he said.

Beyond customer engagement, the activity also provided employees with an opportunity to step away from routine work, strengthen team spirit and rekindle their connection to Baobab’s mission.

Baobab Nigeria says it will continue similar community-based initiatives, utilising lifestyle and wellness platforms to drive further public awareness of financial inclusion and support healthier day-to-day living for Nigerians.

Jollof+Jollof+ is Baobab Nigeria’s savings product designed to encourage steady, goal-oriented saving through a lifestyle-friendly approach, helping customers build financial stability over time.
