Rangers International suffered another home defeat 2-0 to struggling Heartland Football Club of Owerri in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match 33 played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Surajudeen Lawal of the visiting Heartland scored the first goal in the 20th minute of the first half amid large turnout of Rangers fans who came to cheer their home team.
While Rangers players were struggling to cancel the one goal in the second half of the game, Heartland’s Nassir Isaac scored the second goal within two minutes of the second half.
Speaking after the match, the Technical Advise of Heartland, Emmanuel Amunike expressed happiness that they won the match.
Amunike stated that the team knew what they will gain by winning the match, therefore worked hard to grab a win.
Chief Coach of Rangers, Kenechukewu Ekeh said they have taken note of where they got it wrong, saying he will go back and fortify the team.
