The inspector-general of police, IGP Usman Baba has ordered the posting/redeployment of assistant inspectors-general of police (AIG)
to various departments, commands and formations in line with his manpower development policy of putting the right persons into appropriate roles.
Those redeployed are; AIG Frank Mba to FCID Annex Lagos, AIG Zone 14 Katsina will be headed by AIG Ahmed Abdulrahman; AIG Police Mobile Forc is now AIG Ibrahim Sani Ka’oje; AIG Special Protection Unit will be headed by AIG Matthew Akinyosola; AIG Zone 12 Bauchi is to be headed by AIG Sylvester Abiodun Alabi.
Others are; AIG Maritime Lagos is to be headed by AIG Yekini Adio Ayoku; AIG Zone 13 Ukpo Dunukofia is now headed by AIG Olofu Tony Adejoh; AIG Zone 7 Abuja will be led by AIG Aliyu Garba; AIG ICT FHQ Abuja is now headed by AIG Idris Dabban Dauda; AIG Research & Development is AIG Yusuf Ahmed Usman; AIG Zone 4 Makurdi is AIG Haladu M. Ros-Amson; AIG Zone 8 Lokoja is AIG Babatunde B. Ishola; AIG Counter Terrorism Unit is AIG Alexander N. Wannang, AIG Zone 2 Lagos is AIG Ari M. Ali; AIG Zone 9 Umuahia is AIG Mamman Sanda Umar.
Former commissioner of police, FCT, AIG Sadiq Abubakar, is now Commandant Police Academy, Wudil; AIG Zone 16 Yenagoa is AIG Benjamin N. Okolo; AIG DTD FHQ Abuja is AIG Oyediran A. Oyeyemi; AIG FCID Annex Kaduna is AIG Babaji Sunday; AIG Zone 5 Benin is AIG Arungwa Nwazue Udo and Force Transport Officer is now AIG Yusuf Usman.
Force PRO, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the IGP charged all newly posted and redeployed officers to put their best foot forward in ensuring that the activities of their new commands, formations, and departments align with the police reform mandate.
He also tasked them to ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures in the discharge of their responsibilities. The postings are with immediate effect.
