She had faced criticisms in South Africa during her Miss South Africa contestant announcement.

She, however, pulled out from the pageant following the South African Home Office allegations of fraud and identity theft involving her mother.

Chidinma, subsequently received an invitation to join Miss Universe Nigeria pageant, which she accepted after withdrawing from Miss SA.

Following her arrival in Nigeria over a week ago to compete in the pageant, Adetshina has expressed her joy about her stay in her father’s land.
