Hon. Uche Ben Odunzeh, the Governorship Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) for the November 11th gubernatorial election in Imo state, has expressed his commitment to transforming the state’s economy if elected. He aims to leverage his experience as a capitalist to shift the state from a consuming to a manufacturing economy.

Odunzeh emphasized that revitalizing the state’s economy is not a complex task and outlined his economic model, which includes reducing taxation, creating an enabling business environment, and boosting internally generated revenue. He aims to spur growth and development through his spontaneous and strategic economic policies.

Addressing the issue of insecurity, Odunzeh acknowledged its impact on investment and pledged to prioritize the restoration of security in the state. He plans to rebrand Imo and remove any obstacles that hinder investment. His administration aims to create an environment that attracts investors and provides economic opportunities for all citizens.

To attract investment, Odunzeh plans to organize the first investment summit in Imo state, inviting investors and investment banks to showcase the potential of the state. He believes this event will serve as a platform to engage and persuade investors to consider Imo for their business ventures.
