A chieftain of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Mall. Abdulmalik Sulaiman, has raised the alarm over the antics of a shadowy group purporting to have dissolved the National Executive Council (NEC) of the party, saying those found culpable would soon be apprehended by the Police.

Sulaiman stated this while reacting to a communique which after a National Executive Committee (NEC) of NNPP meeting on May 27, 2024, announced the dissolution of a NWC led by Dr. Ajuji Ahmed and Dipo Olayokun.

But Sulaiman in a statement urged Nigerians and relevant authorities to discountenance the communique, stressing that those who announced the dissolution of the Ajuji-led NWC of NNPP are unknown to the party.

He also described as laughable, the suspension of the only governor elected on the party’s platform, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the expulsion of the national leader of the party, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso from the party by the same set of impostors.

Sulaiman said, “We have been intimated by our numerous supporters and the media of the antics of some sponsored elements unknown to the party purporting to have dissolved the National Executive Council (NEC). This is nothing but wishful thinking carried out by drunken nonentities fanning ambers of discord within the party,” Suleiman said.

He said, “We have been told that these individuals are not acting alone but are being propelled by some disgruntled elements who have since been shown the way of the party because of their series of acts capable of truncating the progressives march of the party.”

Suleiman urged security agents to help the party apprehend those behind the moves, saying it would help in preventing a breach of public peace.

The NNPP chieftain cautioned that if imposters continue their activities without being apprehended it could spell doom for peace and order.

Commenting on it, Suleiman said, “This is the height of illegality and foolery. How can anyone in his right senses contemplate such?

These are the personalities who worked tirelessly for the current renaissance that the party is currently enjoying in the country today.

Suleiman said there is no political party in the country that currently enjoys a peaceful atmosphere like NNPP, “Dr. Ajuji led NWC has stabilised the party to the admiration of all party members across the country.”

He appealed to the general public to disregard the imposters and call on the media to always verify information from the relevant organs of the party before going public with such.
