The Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership (CIML) has advocated for synergy between the executive and legislative arms of government to benefit citizens.
Consequently, the Nigerian chapter of the United States of America (USA)- based organisation is set to organise a one-day seminar for legislators in the country’s three tiers of government.
The seminar with the theme:
“Effective Synergy Between the Executive and Legislators as an Antidote and Catalyst for Achieving National Development Goals” aimed to foster collaboration between Nigeria’s executive and legislative branches, bringing together eminent policymakers, institutional leaders, and thought leaders to deliberate on strategies for sustainable national development.
According to Dr. Samuel Ojo, CIML, Country Director of CIML Nigeria, the seminar is poised to “strengthen executive-legislative synergy and celebrate individuals whose leadership has significantly contributed to nation-building.”
The seminar, which will be chaired by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, will be witnessed by the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, and the Minister of Youth Development, Hon Ayodele Olawande, among other prominent Nigerians.
In addition to the seminar, the prestigious fellowship and Award will be conferred on notable individuals who have demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment to national development.
Prominent Nigerians, including the Deputy President of the Senate, Jibrin Barau, Minister of Youth Development, Ayo Olawande, and some members of the House of Representatives, would be honoured at the event taking place at the National Assembly complex.
