International Humanitarian Day: IAWPA Gives Reason For Choice Of Apostle Chinyere

As the global community prepare to observe this year’s United Nations designated International Humanitariani Day, the International Association of World Peace Advocates IAWPA who are honouring the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries OPM Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere with a special Humanitarian Champion award, has given reasons why they opted to choose him ahead of others.

The association which has made its intention known to the global community leading to his nomination to attend the high powered UN SDG conference slated for September, said despite viral attacks against the popular Port Harcourt based clergy, he has rather increased his humanitarian activities rather than being discouraged to reduce it.

The International Spokesman of the association Amb Emmanuel Nkweke who said the award to be bestowed on him has been fully endorsed by the African Directorate under the able leadership of Amb Johnny Metchie has directed Eminent Peace Ambassadors in Africa to ensure they are part of the epoch making event which will signal to the world that Africans have personalities that are impacting on the lives of the common people in the society.

The association described Apostle Chinyere as an epitome of love whose philanthropic activities must be emulated by privileged persons in the society and I can the government.

The statement said all machinery has been put in motion to ensure a hitch free programme to celebrate the humanitarian efforts of Apostle Chinyere.

“Our observation team is on ground taking cognisance of the Humanitarian work of Apostle Chinyere for onward submission to relevant bodies of the UN and it’s systems. We sincerely hope that this Special recognition will signal better opportunities for an expanded recognition in the days ahead” the statement added.
