The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) yesterday said partisan politics should give way to patriotism and nation building to steer the wobbling economy of Nigeria to the path of recovery and sustainable growth, which will curb insecurity in the country.

In a statement by the national publicity secretary, IPAC, Mrs Chinyere Oge-Kalu to felicitate with Christians on the Easter celebration, and made available to LEADERSHIP in Abuja, she said the council prays that the joy, peace and hope of Easter will inspire and spur governments at all levels to deliver democratic dividends to the suffering masses who have been asked by all administrations since Independence in 1960 to make sacrifice.

She said that IPAC felicitates with Christians across the country on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebrations which signifies the resurrection of Jesus Christ after His crucifixion for the sin of mankind and urged Nigerians to use this joyous occasion of the victory of life over death to rededicate their lives to God and imbibe Christ’s virtues of love, compassion, tolerance and sacrifice.
“Council enjoins citizens to pray for the nation and its leaders as they pilot the affairs of the country in this difficult time.

“Partisan politics should give way to patriotism and nation building to steer our wobbling economy to the path of recovery and sustainable growth, which will curb insecurity in the country.
“Council pray that the joy, peace and hope of Easter will inspire and spur governments at all levels to deliver democratic dividends to the suffering masses who have been asked by all administrations since Independence in 1960 to make sacrifice,” she said.

She said as the umbrella body of all registered political parties in Nigeria, IPAC is committed to “our collective task of consolidating and advancing the nation’s democracy, ensuring an environment conducive for successful elections, political stability, enduring democracy and overall well-being of Nigerians.”
