The 27-year-old was previously tied on 249 appearances with former Chelsea midfielder, Mikel.
Iwobi will now set his sight on usurping Yakubu Aiyegbeni in third position.

Aiyegbeni currently occupy third position with 252 appearances.
Former Newcastle United forward, Shola Ameobi tops the chart with 298, while Nwankwo Kanu is second with 273.
