Yoruba actress and film producer, Iyabo Ojo, has celebrated the success of her latest film, ‘Return of Arinzo’, which earned high box-office returns.
The movie, which was named the highest-grossing Easter weekend release at the Nigerian box office, earned N104.8m in its debut.
‘The Ghost And The Tout Too’ actress, posted on her X handle, thanking her fans and colleagues for their continuous support. “Thank you, everyone, for the love you showed us. TROA opens with N104.8m, breaking multiple records in just one weekend,” adding that it was the highest-grossing at the Easter weekend performance and the biggest opening for a Nollywood sequel. “This was only possible because of you,” she noted.
Iyabo Ojo has starred in more than 150 movies and has produced over 14 of her own, according to reports.
The Return of Arinzo was directed by Iyabo Ojo, who also starred as the lead, and featured Mercy Aigbe, Funke Akindele, and Bimbo Akintola, among others.
