JUST-IN: Gunmen Abduct Father, Son In Ondo

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted one Jethro Onose, a student at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Imeri in Ose local government area of Ondo state.

LEADERSHIP gathered that Onose, a Senior Secondary School Student was abducted in the early hours of Monday alongside his father, Maliki Onose, while returning to school after the three-week holiday.

A source told our correspondent that the boy and his father were in their vehicle when the kidnappers attacked them.

According to the source, both the student and his father were waylaid and kidnapped along the notorious route on the Edo and Ondo Road while taking the boy to the school.

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Funmilayo Odunmlami-Omisanya, confirmed the incident when contacted on phone.

Odunmlami-Omisanya said efforts are ongoing to rescue the victims unhurt and bring the perpetrators to justice.

“We are currently working with the Navy to ensure that the victims are rescued from the den of the kidnappers. We are working with the Navy to ensure the victims are rescued and perpetrators arrested,” the PPRO said.
