The Abia State branch of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has suspended its over three weeks old industrial action which commenced on January 2.

The suspension followed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Abia State government and leadership of the union in Umuahia at the weekend.

According to the MoU, all differences in the implementation of the Consolidated Judicial Salary Structure, which was the bone of contention had been resolved.

A statement by the Commissioner for Information in the state, Okey Kanu said the state has commenced arrangements for the payment of the judicial workers.
