Kaduna Assembly Confirms Goroh-Shadalafiya As Legislative Service Commission Chair

The Kaduna State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Hon. Nuhu Goroh-Shadalafiya as the Chairman of the State Legislative Service Commission.

Goroh-Shadalafiya’s confirmation followed his nomination by the Kaduna State governor, Senator Uba Sani.

The Clerk of the House, Sakinatu Idris read the letter seeking the confirmation of Goroh-Shadalafiya from Governor Sani at plenary on Wednesday.

The Deputy Speaker, Hon. Magaji Henry at the screening, urged the lawmakers to confirm the nominee whom he said would contribute to the growth of the State.

Henry also said Goroh-Shadalafiya who served as Member representing Kagarko Constituency in the 9th Assembly has contributed to the development of the Chamber.

The deputy speaker congratulated the newly confirmed Chairman of Legislative Service Commission and urged him to put in his best into his new office.

The House Minority Leader, Hon. Ali Kalat representing Jema’a Constituency, moved the motion for the nominee to be confirmed and was seconded by Hon. Awwal Umar representing Giwa West constituency.

The Speaker of the House, Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman who presided over the plenary session announced the confirmation of Goroh-Shadalafiya after he was asked to take a bow and leave.

Goroh-Shadalafiya shortly after his confirmation thanked Governor Sani for his appointment and promised to work together with all relevant stakeholders for the growth and development of the State.
