The Kaduna Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed three accidents on Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
Speaking with LEADERSHIP over the reported ghastly accident involving Nigeria National League (NNL) referees from the Kogi State Referees Council, the Command’s Assistant Public Relations Officer, Route Commander Usman Garba said three vehicles were involved ghastly motor accidents in different locations.
According to Garba, “I am not aware of accident involving referees from Kogi to Kano state. The report I got was three accidents occurred on Abuja-Kaduna way. I don’t know whether the accident you talking about is among the three accidents. I will confirm and get back to you later.”
Our correspondent gathered that the referees from Kogi who were their way to Kano for zonal fitness test and seminar had accident before Kaduna leaving some of them injured.
Reports said the injured referees were taken to undisclosed hospital for medical attention.
Although, details of the accident remain sketchy at the time of filling this report.
