Kano Lawmaker Aminu Sa’adu Dies

A member of the Kano State House of Assembly representing Ungoggo local government area, Aminu Sa’adu, has died after a brief illness.

The death was confirmed on Wednesday evening by the Press Secretary of the Kano State House of Assembly, Kamaludeen Sani Shawai.

Shawai said the lawmaker fell ill shortly after arriving at the Assembly earlier in the day and was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors later confirmed his death.

He added that the late lawmaker would be buried at about 6:00 p.m., in line with Islamic rites.

The death of Hon. Sa’adu has thrown the Kano State House of Assembly and residents of Ungoggo Local Government Area constituency into mourning, as colleagues and constituents continued to pay tributes to the late legislator.
