Senator Sunday Steve Karimi has completed a 288-seater Modern Digital Learning and Test Centre, popularly known as a CBT Centre in Titcombe College, Egbe in Kogi State.
Senator Karimi, who represents Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, is an old boy of the college. He said that, having realized the hardship faced by the students of the area, he decided to partner with TCEOSA.
Established in 1961 by the missionaries, the modern CBT Centre has an adjoining 500-seat chapel that can be used as an awaiting area during examination.
The modern facility which Senator Karimi says is in partnership with Titcombe College Egbe Old Students Association, TCEOSA, has been acknowledged by the community, traditional rulers and stakeholders as a first-class facility.
Senator Karimi, the chairman of the Senate Service Committee, has not minced words since his assumption of office at the National Assembly, stating that his representation is people-centred.
The newly built facility has a carefully remodeled and upgraded interior, preserving decades of raw exterior beauty.
The facility has a modern male and female convenience with running water, installed with high speed star tick Internet.
Furthermore, the new CBT Centre has access to power infrastructure and has star-structured cabling distributed to all the desks.
According to Senator Karimi, the CBT centre aims to reduce the number of secondary school students from Egbe and the adjoining local government in Okun-speaking areas who travel to Lokoja and sometimes to Ilorin to register and write any CBT examination, particularly JAMB.
