The Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University (KASU), Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, has commended Governor Uba Sani for his intervention in facilitating the suspension of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike in the institution.
In a statement signed by KASU’s Director of Corporate Services, Galadima Zubairu Soba, the VC expressed gratitude on behalf of the university management, staff, and students, noting that the governor’s commitment to education and dialogue was instrumental in resolving the impasse.
“The management of KASU sincerely appreciates His Excellency’s proactive efforts in ensuring the swift resolution of the strike. His intervention has not only restored academic activities but also reignited hope among our students, staff, and the entire university community,” Prof. Musa said.
He also acknowledged the cooperation of ASUU-KASU leadership for their willingness to engage in dialogue and assured students and parents that necessary adjustments would be made to the academic calendar to mitigate the impact of the disruption.
He reaffirmed KASU’s commitment to academic excellence, research, and innovation, stressing that with the support of the Kaduna State Government, the institution would continue to provide quality education.
