Kate Henshaw Champions Wellness Campaign For Women

Nigerian celebrity, Kate Henshaw, has led an advocacy to champion wellness solutions to women’s health.

At a launch that is already capturing attention across Nigeria’s health and lifestyle media space, Kate Henshaw stepped forward not just as a public figure, but as a voice of lived experience at the official unveiling of Efamol Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) in Nigeria.

The event was hosted in Lagos at the 2026 Continuing Education Conference of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN), Lagos State Chapter, and attended by leading pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders.

The camapign reinforced a compelling new narrative around beauty and wellness, shifting the focus from external fixes to internal restoration, backed by science and real-life experiences.

Speaking during a panel session, Kate Henshaw, a celebrity activist, social advocate, and one of Nigeria’s foremost actresses, emphasised that her approach to health has always gone beyond appearance, noting that maintaining vitality requires intentional decisions rooted in understanding the body.

Reflecting on her personal experience, she stated, “I never knew the symptoms and effects of menopause until just after age 50, when I realised that what I was feeling in my body were actually menopausal symptoms.”

She noted that while hormonal changes are a natural part of life, managing them effectively requires the right support system.

Her remarks reinforced the campaign’s central message, that true wellness is not about masking symptoms, but addressing what is happening internally.

Her story resonated strongly with attendees, particularly as she highlighted the importance of consistency, discipline, and choosing scientifically backed solutions that align with the body’s needs.

Adding clinical and community-level insight, the managing director of Pontisalus Pharmacy, Ibukun Tola-Ogunyemi, underscored the growing demand among Nigerian consumers for pharmacy-recommended, evidence-based wellness solutions.
