Kebbi Dissolves 27 Area Dev Boards

Kebbi State government has dissolved all the 27 Area Development Boards in the state.

In a letter issued in Birnin Kebbi yesterday, the acting permanent secretary of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Aliyu Hassan Kalgo, on behalf of the commissioner of the ministry, Hon. Garba Umar-Dutsinmari, said the dissolution was with immediate effect.

He said, „I am directed to write and notify you that Governor Nasir Idris has directed the dissolution of Area Development Board administrators and assistant administrators in the 27 Area Development Boards in Kebbi State with immediate effect.

“All area development board staff are to return to their respective local government areas pending the redeployment by the Local Government Service Commission.”
