The Kebbi State government has earmarked N3.5 billion for payment of outstanding gratuities for 2021 and 2022 for retired workers in the state.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu revealed this yesterday at a Town Hall meeting on the 2023 budget of the state held in Birnin Kebbi.
Bagudu noted that his administration would not wish to leave any unnecessary liabilities for the incoming administration in the state.
He applauded the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning led by its commissioner, Dr Abba Sani Kalgo, for ensuring that the annual budget of the state receives inputs from all stakeholders in the state.
Bagudu also said the town hall meeting was the fourth in the series by his administration meant to carry along every indigene of the state in the preparation and execution of yearly fiscal policies for promoting good governance.
