Following the shortage of water supply in some parts of Birnin Kebbi metropolis as a result of broken pipes, Kebbi State government has assured residents of the state capital that they would start enjoying constant water supply beginning on Tuesday.

Commissioner for Water Resources, Bello Abubakar Ka’oje, gave the assurance yesterday while giving an update on the efforts by the government.

According to him, the committee set up was mandated to ensure the repair works at the Birnin Kebbi water works and all other places where the pipes were broken for the immediate restoration of the water supply in the state.

Ka’oje added that the committee has remained at the water works site until all the damaged pipes are repaired.

He assured residents that the state government under Governor Nasir Idris is doing everything possible to provide a constant water supply in all parts of the state.
