Eight teams have secured places in the football knockout stage of i-Fitness GameFest 2.0, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, at Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The teams represent the Magodo, Ogudu, Ikorodu, Iponri, Surulere, Ago Palace, Opebi and Acme branches. They progressed through preliminary matches held across the branches. The competition will now proceed in a knockout format, from the quarter-finals to the final.
GameFest 2.0 will also feature a range of other sporting events. Representatives from across the branches will compete in the 100m sprint, while branch relay teams will race for the 200m title. The sack race, a crowd favourite, will combine fun with fierce competition.
The lifting challenge will take place throughout the day in a dedicated arena, giving competitors another opportunity to test their strength and endurance.
Held under the theme “Different Squad, Unstoppable Together”, GameFest 2.0 brings together 14 i-Fitness branches from across Lagos Mainland for a day of competition, entertainment and community.
The organisers say GameFest celebrates the community behind the company’s growth. The event also rewards members for their loyalty, strengthens ties between branches and promotes fitness, health and community.
