Kebbi Govt Empowers 100,000 Women Groups

Kebbi State government, in collaboration with Nasara Foundation, has empowered over 100,000 women groups it its 21 local government areas.

During the event held in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital,  Governor Nasir Idris expressed appreciation to the foundation established by his wife, Hajiya Nasare Nasir Idris.

He said while women remain critical partners in the political and development journey of government, his administration looks forward to considering women in key appointments in 2027.

He added that since the inception of his administration, women have demonstrated commitment, loyalty and resilience in progress recorded in the state.

Governor Idris donated N100 million to the foundation to empower women across the 21 councils.
