The Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) has reiterated its commitment to tackling poverty and improving the lives of the people.

This was disclosed at a solidarity dinner organised by Keystone Bank, in honour of the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, and Coordinator-General of YEIDEP, Comrade Kennedy Iyere, for their exploits in YEIDEP.

The event was held on Thursday in Lagos State. Speaking, Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, commended President Bola Tinubu’s YEIDEP initiative, while also expressing appreciation to the Management of Keystone Bank, led by Hassan Imam, for supporting the federal government, YEIDEP, and Nigerian youths.

He also commended the Coordinator of YEIDEP, Comrade Iyere, for his affection towards the youths and patriotism.

He noted the ministry’s commitment to collaboration in various forms to support Nigerian youths, ensuring that they are guided, protected, and empowered for the future.

He said, “I also commend Keystone Bank’s Executive Director, Corporate Banking and South, Mrs Nnenna Anyim-Okoro, who is an exemplary woman with a heart for Nigerian youths.”

On his part, Iyere noted the importance of engaging the youths in profitable activities, noting that such would ensure that crime is abated in the country, thereby fostering economic growth and prosperity.

Iyere also commended Keystone Bank, saying their efforts and commitment towards economic growth are vital to shaping the country’s future.

Also speaking, Anyim-Okoro acknowledged the visionary leadership of President Bola Tinubu for initiating YEIDEP.

She added that to reinforce its commitment to YEIDEP, Keystone Bank has established a high-level committee to drive the programme within the bank.

“Additionally, the bank launched a digital platform where YEIDEP accounts can be opened and managed digitally.

“As a key financial partner of the YEIDEP initiative, Keystone Bank remains dedicated to long-term collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development aimed at implementing the core objectives of YEIDEP and enhancing youth empowerment and financial inclusion.”
