Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has announced a ₦500,000 reward for anyone who can locate a woman reportedly stranded with her children along the Iyana Era axis of the Lagos–Badagry Expressway in Lagos within three hours.
The lawmaker made the appeal in a post shared via her verified Facebook handle on Wednesday, expressing deep concern over the safety of the woman and her children, who were last seen in a disoriented state.
“₦500k for whoever locates this woman and her children within three hours today. I can’t imagine her babies sleeping out in the dangerous streets,” she wrote.
“Her last location was Iyana Era, off Lagos Badagry Expressway. Once you locate her, publish a video of you two together under this post,” she added.
LEADERSHIP reports that the lawmaker’s action followed her earlier call for urgent intervention after reports emerged that the woman, suspected to be suffering from memory loss linked to severe stress-induced mental health challenges, was found stranded in the area.
In a previous statement shared via her Instagram handle, Akpoti-Uduaghan described the situation as heartbreaking and urged the Lagos State Government and relevant agencies to act swiftly to ensure the woman receives proper medical attention and protection.
The incident has continued to spark concern across Nigeria, with social media users calling for immediate humanitarian intervention.
As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Government had not released any official statement on the development.
