The Kogi Conscience Liberation Movement (KCLM) has urged INEC to move all sensitive materials from the state to Abuja where the tribunal has relocated.

The national secretary, Comrade Okpanachi Jacob, made the call at a news conference in Abuja yesterday, saying such materials are not safe since the tribunal is no longer sitting in Kogi.

The group alleged possible security breach in the state and called for an urgent intervention of security agencies.

The secretary called for an overhaul of the security apparatus in the state, emphasising the need for security agents to avoid being involved in politics to ensure that lives of the people are safeguarded and also advised that all allegations of electoral malpractices be addressed to avoid replication in other states in forthcoming elections.

He added that staff of the tribunal had been attacked on several occasions in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
