KWASUTH Mulls Mass Burial Of Unclaimed Bodies Over Filled Morgue

The management of the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (KWASUTH), Ilorin is considering mass burial of unclaimed bodies over its filled morgue.

Head of the Corporate Affairs Unit of KWASUTH, Kamaldeen Aliagan, confirmed that the hospital’s morgue is filled up.

He added that the hospital’s management has sent out messages inviting people to come and claim the bodies of their deceased relatives.

“The management of Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (KWASUTH) wishes to announce to the general public that its mortuary is filled beyond capacity with no available space due to unclaimed bodies.

 

“The management, therefore, implores the general public to come and retrieve the bodies of their relatives and loved ones within the next two weeks from the time of this announcement, after which the management will consider decongestion through mass burial,” Aliagan said.
