Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has accepted a ₦10 million celebrity boxing challenge issued by show promoter Paulo Okoye, further escalating her ongoing feud with fellow actress Iyabo Ojo.

Confirming her decision in an Instagram post dated 3 May 2026, Anjorin declared, “As at today, 3rd May 2026, I accept your challenge.” However, she introduced fresh conditions, stating that Okoye must first face her husband, Chief Lawal, in a 10-round bout before she proceeds to step into the ring with Ojo.

The development marks a new chapter in the actresses’ prolonged dispute, which has played out across social media, in courtrooms and through public exchanges. The proposed boxing match was initially proposed by Okoye in 2024, with a ₦10 million prize for the eventual winner.

Tensions heightened in 2025 when Ojo filed a ₦1 billion defamation lawsuit against Anjorin, which was later dismissed. Despite this, both parties have continued to trade remarks publicly.

Anjorin’s acceptance also reflects the growing appeal of celebrity boxing within Nigeria’s entertainment scene. The trend recently gained traction after street-pop singer Portable lost a widely publicised bout to comedian Carter Efe, further fuelling interest in such contests.
