The Labour Party’s deputy governorship candidate in the ongoing Edo State election, Prince Asamah Kadiri, SAN, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of vote buying.

Prince Kadiri said the party engaged in desperate measures, and saw first-hand the incident being perpetuated by the APC in Auchi and other parts of the Edo North district.

Prince Kadiri who disclosed this after voting in his vote in Auchi Ward 1, Unit 6, noted that, “It is sad that the APC is engaging in vote buying in my unit and the reports available to me across Auchi and the Edo North district shows that the APC is buying votes for N10,000.”

Noting however that some courageous voters were able to rebuff the APC and insisted on voting for the party of their choice, the LP running mate commended INEC’s performance in the conduct of the election.

Meanwhile, Kadiri noted that it was still too early to rate the electoral body, and urged the electoral body to monitor its officials in the field to prevent electoral fraud.LP Deputy Gov’ship Candidate Kadiri Accuses APC Of Voting Buying
