Matthias Jaissle’s side continued their perfect start to the season with a comfortable win at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium.

The visitors were faced with an uphill battle early on Tuesday when a former Nottingham Forest loanee Alfa Semedo saw red, leaving Kresimir Rezic’s side reduced to 10 men after 35 minutes.

The numerical advantage only added to the threat Allan Saint-Maximin’s dribbling posed throughout the first half, with the former Newcastle star consistently finding space on the left-hand side.

The £30m man then combined with fellow summer signing Riyad Mahrez, whipping a low cross into the box for the Algerian to net the opener in Jeddah.

Mahrez has enjoyed a flying start to his career in the Saudi Pro League, having notched an assist on his debut against Al-Hazem before netting his first goal for his new club in their win over Khaleej earlier this month.
