Maimuna’s Memoir: Luba’s Back Up Plan

Well, I thought quietly, I couldn’t blame Luba. Our short break came to an end and it was back to the interviewing session. There were about six more candidates left and they ended up performing poorly as well. I wanted to cry when Luba consoled me with the words, “Don’t despair my dear, remember? I have a back up plan.”

And that was the very reason I was in despair, I didn’t want Luba’s back up plan! I sighed and rolled my eyes as I listen to her drone on about how fantastic Risikatu was.

I tried to zone her out of course, but even as we were going to have our routine dinner with Farida, she kept going on and on and on. For fear of being stifled by this monologue I quickly gave in and told her to inform her cousin to come for an interview tomorrow.
