The holiday season brings joy, warmth, and a sense of togetherness, and one of the most delightful aspects of this time of year is the decoration of homes and offices.

With Christmas decorations and toys becoming increasingly popular, starting a business in this niche can be a rewarding venture.

It is also a period where people get to spend a lot of money either as part of the Christmas celebration or the New Year. And where there is money to be spent, there is money to be made.

This, therefore, is an opportunity for those looking to make some quick money to look out for businesses that people are willing to spend money on this holiday.

A Christmas decorations business is a business that provides Christmas decorations and lighting for individuals and businesses. Christmas decorations can help businesses generate revenue during the holidays, a time when many other businesses are slow. They can also create a special atmosphere that encourages customers to spend more time in the store.

Despite living in a tough business environment, Nigerians still love the holiday season and depict this by spending on Xmas decorations.

We will expect offices, shops, and all kinds of businesses to have a Xmas decoration budget for their locations across the country. Religious bodies are also not left out as they also have a budget for decorating their halls.

Christmas decoration sellers in Lagos have recorded high sales as the festive season peaks. The sales of Christmas decorations have increased significantly compared to previous years.

Profitability

There are indications that sellers can make between N100,000 and N1million profit or even more, during this period.

Mrs. Grace Etim, a seller at Oshodi Market, said, “we are making a lot of money from the sale of Christmas decorations. We are selling everything from lights to wreaths to trees, and we cannot keep up with the demand.” She stated that, the increase in demand for Christmas decorations has also created jobs for many young people in the state.

Miss. Precious, a salesperson at Oshodi Market, noted that, “I was unemployed for several months before I started working as a salesperson for a Christmas decoration seller. Now, I am making a good income and I am able to support myself and my family.”

She added that the high demand for Christmas decorations is expected to continue until the end of the festive season.

Etim noted that, “we are expecting a very busy period ahead. We are preparing to meet the high demand for Christmas decoration as Festive Season Peaks.”
