Man City Will Win Premier League Title On Goal Difference – Carragher

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes the Premier League title race will come down to goal difference, with Manchester City ultimately edging out Arsenal to claim the trophy.

“Arsenal were outstanding,” Carragher said on Sky Sports. “I think this is the best they’ve looked for some time — maybe since the north London derby against Tottenham. Fulham helped them a bit, but Arsenal looked lively, and improving their goal difference was a big plus. They didn’t seem tired, sluggish, or nervous like they have recently, though some of that is down to Fulham being poor.”

He added, “We’ll see how it plays out, but this result definitely piles more pressure on Manchester City, especially with a tough game at Everton coming up. I expect City to win that match, but in the end it might come down to goal difference — just winning may not be enough.”

Arsenal face West Ham next, then finish the season against already-relegated Burnley and Crystal Palace.

Manchester City, chasing their seventh Premier League title since 2018, still have to play Brentford, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa.
