Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has unveiled a grassroots mobilisation movement, “Tinubu Again” to campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.

Matawalle said the movement would take the campaign to the grassroots through door-to-door mobilisation, with the aim of persuading Nigerians to support Tinubu and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 elections.

He disclosed this after returning to the country, where members of the movement received him at the airport.

According to the minister, ‘Tinubu Again’ would soon be formally launched and taken to communities across the country as part of efforts to explain the policies, programmes and vision of the Tinubu administration to voters.

“We have to go down to the people to inform people, to give the awareness to people what this present administration is doing, what Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing to the people, his programmes, his visions, missions and his intention to Nigerians,” Matawalle said.

He said the movement would deploy its members to engage directly with Nigerians and explain what he described as the President’s commitment to the country.

Matawalle said the movement would not only campaign for Tinubu but also mobilise support for APC candidates contesting governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and State Assembly elections.

“We will work day and night to ensure their success, to ensure that we deliver the two of them and all of our candidates, be it governors, senators, members of the House of Representatives, State Assembly, and all other elective position,” he said.

The minister said the movement was targeting more than 20 million people as part of its mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.

“This movement is ready to mobilize more than 20 million to ensure success of all APC candidates, both national and state,” Matawalle said.

As part of the mobilisation efforts, Matawalle also unveiled 50 vehicles for the ‘Tinubu Again’ movement.

He said the vehicles would support the movement’s grassroots mobilisation activities as it prepares to take its campaign to communities across the country.

Matawalle expressed confidence that the movement would help secure victory for Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.

“I assure them that I will do everything possible to ensure that this movement will deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, inshallah,” he said.

He also urged Nigerians to remain patient with the administration and support Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

“My message to Nigerians is to be patient and to vote Bola Ahmed Tinubu because he means very well to Nigerians,” he said.

Matawalle said the movement would work to ensure victory for Tinubu and other APC candidates, adding that its grassroots strategy would involve sustained engagement with voters.

“We are taking all these messages to the grassroots, and we assure you that at the end of the day we’ll come out victorious,” he said.

He added that the movement would work towards the success of the President and other APC candidates “day and night” ahead of the 2027 elections.
