Rave of the moment, Mavo, who has been steadily gaining traction for his new approach, has teamed up with the brilliant producer SSSoundGawd for a compact but punchy 2-track pack titled Hey Mama and Aura Salad.

Coming off the heels of his high-energy collaboration with Terry Apala, Mavo utilises the project to showcase a different side of his artistry, one that is more focused on atmospheric textures and complex rhythmic shifts.

The two tracks, Hey Mama and Aura Salad serve as a masterclass in modern production. SSSoundGawd lives up to his name, crafting sounds that feel expansive and slightly “off-kilter” in the best way possible. Instead of relying solely on the standard log-drum patterns, the production incorporates elements of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) and Alternative R&B, creating a spacey vibe that allows Mavo’s vocals to float and weave through the beats. The sound is polished yet carries an underground, experimental grit that sets it apart in a crowded market.

The new songs serve as a strategic mood board for Mavo’s 2026 campaign. By releasing a 2-track pack, the musician is likely to attract growing fans.

Mavo (Marvin Oseremen Ukanigbe) is a fast-rising Nigerian Afrobeats artist and medical student born on November 1, 2003. Known for his “Burbur Music” style, he gained prominence with the hit single “Escaladizzy” and projects like Ukanigbe and Kilometre. Mavo has collaborated with artists such as Davido, CKay, and Zlata
