American rap star Megan Thee Stallion has been rushed to a hospital in New York after falling seriously ill during a live stage performance.

The 31-year-old artiste was performing in the Broadway production, Moulin Rouge The Musical, on Tuesday night when she began showing symptoms of severe illness.

According to
eyewitness reports, the show was abruptly paused at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, and the rapper did not return to the stage.

A representative for the artiste confirmed the incident, stating that she was promptly transported to a local medical facility. “During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and is currently being evaluated by doctors,” the statement read.

Her close friend and celebrity hairstylist, Kellon Deryck, sparked concern among fans after posting an urgent message on social media. “Everyone, say a prayer for Megan. We are all at the hospital,” he wrote, alongside praying hands emojis.
