A former Ondo State governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, has not been appointed to head former President Goodluck Jonathan’s consultation in the South West.
His spokesman, Eni Akinsola, said this while reacting to a report that Mimiko was appointed to head the former president’s 2027 consultation in the South West.
Akinsola said, “The Mimiko that I know respects former President Jonathan but has neither been reached nor appointed for a campaign that is still the subject, and may well end as a subject, of fanciful speculation. I am sure he is also not job-hunting.”
Although the former president has formally declared his intention to contest the 2027 election, there are indications that he might throw his hat into the ring.
