Terem Moffi’s future remains shrouded in doubt as the Nigerian international contemplates his next career move.
The forward spent the latter half of last season on loan at Portuguese champions FC Porto from OGC Nice, but the Dragons ultimately opted against activating the €8m purchase clause in his contract.
Complicating matters further, Moffi is reportedly unwilling to return to his parent club, Nice, following an alleged assault by the club’s supporters last December. The 26-year-old, currently on international duty with Nigeria, has remained tight-lipped about his situation.
“Honestly, I have no clue what’s going to happen. The future, I don’t like to think about it, only the present. What happens today is what I’m focused on,” Moffi told Nigeria Football Weekly, deflecting questions about his club prospects. His comments suggest a desire to focus solely on his current international commitments amidst the uncertainty surrounding his club career.
