Mohbad: We ‘ll Carry Out Diligent Investigation — Police

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has promised to launch a diligent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of 27-year-old singer and songwriter, Promise Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, a.k.a Mohbad.

Mohbad died of unknown ailment on Tuesday and was subsequently buried on Wednesday in Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

LEADERSHIP reports that tongues have been wagging ever since over the actual cause of the artiste’s death.

 

However, reacting to the speculation of a foul play, the Nigeria Police Force said its Lagos State Command has been tasked to carry out a comprehensive investigation on the matter, promising to provide updates as the exercise progresses.

 

Taking to its verified X handle (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, the Nigeria Police Force also extended its condolences to family, friends, and fans of the late Mohbad, saying it understood their concerns surrounding his sudden death and asking anyone with useful information to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police with same.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fans of late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, who tragically passed away recently. We understand the concerns surrounding his untimely demise and the various speculations that have arisen.

“The Nigeria Police Force is committed to a comprehensive investigation into this matter, as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death. Rest assured, updates will be provided as investigations unfold.
