He said his goal as the head of the commission is not only to execute projects and programmes but also to strengthen N-HYPPADEC as an institution that is a model of accountability, efficiency, and service delivery.

Speaking during the opening of a consultative management meeting of the commission held at Saffar Guest House Conference Hall in Birnin Kebbi, Sadiq Yelwa added that “We need to ensure that by the time we leave office after my second term in office, the commission will stand as an example of what public institutions can achieve when leaders and staff work with honesty, collaboration and dedication.”

He warned against sabotage and undermining one another during duty.

According to him, this time around, the commission will also engage younger staff to become effective; therefore, the heads of directorates, divisions, units and state/ area offices have a duty to involve them actively in the Commission’s work.
