Opting to bat first, Nigeria struggled to build momentum, managing to score just 70 runs in 18.4 overs. Salome Sunday was the standout performer with the bat, contributing 22 runs off 28 balls, while Oseyande Omonkhobhio added 14 runs from 11 deliveries, and Kehinde Amusa scored 12 runs off 34 balls. Namibia’s bowlers exhibited excellent control throughout the innings, with standout performances from S. Tahaduleni (3 wickets for 13 runs), K. Green (2 wickets for 10 runs), and M. Mwatile (2 wickets for 16 runs).

In reply, Namibia chased down the modest target with relative ease, finishing at 71 for 2 in just 9.5 overs. Yasmeen Khan was the star of the innings, smashing a commanding 51 runs off 30 balls. K. Green provided solid support with 15 runs off 20 balls, while M. Mwatile remained unbeaten on 4 runs.

Nigeria did manage to claim two wickets, with Kehinde Amusa finishing with figures of 1 for 10 and Lilian Ude taking 1 for 14, but Namibia’s batting prowess proved too strong to overcome.
