Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has sparked controversy for her outfit choice at the Service of Songs held for late actor Alex Ekubo on Wednesday, June 10th, at the Monarch Event Centre in Lekki, Lagos.

Isime arrived in a white gown accessorised with a scarf tied around her eyes, a look that many felt was too glamorous for the sombre occasion. Social media users were quick to react, with several questioning whether she was aware it was a memorial and not a fashion event.

Many commenters asked if she knew the occasion wasn’t about her, while others wondered if she had mistaken the service for a wedding or fashion week.

“Service of Songs don turn to fashion show,” one user wrote, capturing the general sentiment online.
